Raymond N. Sussel, CLU

Raymond N. Sussel, CLU is a Financial Professional and has been with his current broker-dealer, now Equitable Advisors, for over 35 years, joining the company in 1986, shortly after graduating from Indiana University with a BA in Marketing. His career included being a District Manager for nearly 10 years, where he successfully recruited, trained, and developed many new financial professionals.

In 2005, he founded Stratus Advisors, focusing his practice on assisting professionals, business owners, affluent individuals, and retirees in Wealth Accumulation Planning, Estate Planning Strategies, Investments, Retirement Planning and Comprehensive Financial Planning. Ray is passionate about providing exceptional client experience whether during an in-person meeting in one of Stratus’ four offices, a virtual meeting, or phone consultation.

Ray is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) through the American College and continually updates his knowledge and licensing, maintaining his Series 7, and 66 securities registrations, as well as, Life, Health and multiple other product licenses.

Throughout his career, Ray has been honored with many company awards of distinction, including The Order of Excalibur, The Distinguished Service Award, and The Silver Medal. In 2005, he was inducted into the Elite Equitable Advisors Hall of Fame. Ray has always been an active member of the community, serving as the President of Heights-Hillcrest Chamber of Commerce for two different two-year terms.

Ray and his wife, Regina Olbinsky, live in Chagrin Falls, Ohio with their adorable Havanese, Milo. As their sons, Jeremy and Cory, played baseball growing up, Ray was the Treasurer of the South Euclid Boy’s Baseball League and coached them in Baseball and Soccer. They are both still active in soccer as coaches themselves and live nearby. Their daughter, Emily, graduated from Miami University cum laude and is looking for her first professional job. Ray enjoys bowling golfing. Together, they love spending time with family and friends, going to live theater and sports games, and traveling throughout the world.
